Canadian Forces choose FlightPro® for enterprise Unit Level Tool (ULTOOL) Program

Following a competitive tender process launched in June 2010, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) on behalf of the Department of National Defence and Canadian Forces (DND/CF) have issued a contract to procure the Australian operations and training management system FlightPro® from Melbourne based Ocean Software Pty Ltd. Ocean tendered in partnership with Canadian training specialists Atlantis Systems Eduplus (ASE) and Canadian based integrator Accenture who will support future complex integration tasks.

The contract covers User Licenses up to an Entity License, Maintenance and Support, and Training and Professional Services to support the implementation of FlightPro® to all Air Force units.

This deal extends the implementation of FlightPro® in Canada from the training environment where it has managed the NATO Flight Training Canada (NFTC) operation since 2003, to the operational side of the Air Force; providing continuity to the aircrew and the opportunity to leverage a recruitment to retirement solution for the Canadian Forces.

“Ocean Software is very pleased to be further extending its Unit Level Tool concept that began initially in Australia under the JP2030 Ph7b project and has extended to Finland and now Canada. This selection in my opinion is evidence that FlightPro® is the leading solution globally in the increasingly complex military flight operations and training management market”, said Adam Hogan, Ocean’s Sales & Marketing Director. “With recent interest shown by a number of other countries and units, both training and operational, the future is very bright for both Ocean and its flagship product, FlightPro®”.
