Ocean and BAE Deliver FlightPro to the Australian Defence Force

In August 2012, prime contractor BAE Systems Australia contracted Ocean Software to deliver FlightPro® to the Australian Defence Forces’ Basic Flying Training (BFT) School in Tamworth. BAE Systems needed a solution that could provide an enterprise wide, recruitment to retirement picture for the ADF.

Ocean Software’s professional services team were engaged to implement, configure and train personnel in the use of FlightPro®, enabling them to manage the ab-initio flying training for Army, Navy and Air Force pilots.

This implementation was the final step in the provision of a recruitment to retirement, single solution to manage the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aircrew who now use FlightPro® at Basic Flying Training (BFT) for flight screening and introductory pilot training, and at No.2 Flight Training School for advanced pilot training and at their operational conversion and front line units.

Additionally this training center delivers rotary wing training to the Singapore and Brunei Air Forces. A key element of this delivery is FlightPro®’s capability to manage multiple platforms and customers against performance based contracts and associated KPIs.
